With AquaCare, we focus on providing practical solutions to improve water quality for fish and shrimp farming systems globally.
Water is a critical resource facing increasing demand and climate-based burdens. The United Nations chart that the worldwide demand for water has increased six-fold over the last 100 years, making responsible water stewardship a global priority. With our focus on improving water quality, we support UN SDG 6 – Clean water and sanitation.

Depending on the initial state of the water, improved water quality will not only enable farmers to achieve better animal welfare but can also support them to improve results. By developing long-term partnerships with companies and institutes engaged in water quality improvement, we want to consolidate knowledge and accelerate progress within the aquaculture sector. Our initial focus is in the countries confronted with water challenges. Eventually, the AquaCare range aims to help fish and shrimp farmers with water quality solutions everywhere.
AquaCare Probiotic was the first water care solution to reach customers, and is a sustainable bioremediation solution that tackles water quality issues and provides a platform for significant efficiency and productivity gains. This simple-to-use probiotic is designed to work preventatively, with the objective to load the water in pond farming systems with beneficial bacteria, preventing the same space from being occupied by potentially harmful bacteria.
AquaCare Probiotic was launched in Egypt, Vietnam and Australia in 2020, while in 2021 we continued with India and more African countries.
AquaCare Mineral Balance is the latest product in our water care portfolio. Mineral deficiencies can occur under intensive culture conditions in various salinities. A mineral imbalance can affect aquatic species growth and welfare, and pond water may therefore require mineral supplements to achieve the desired productivity. AquaCare Mineral Balance contains a highly bio-available form of macro and trace minerals that help maintain the mineral balance in pond water. The product aims to support fish and shrimp with adapting to changing environmental conditions.
AquaCare Mineral Balance was launched in India and Indonesia in 2021.
