What is RAS?

RAS is an abbreviation for Recirculating aquaculture system. This is a type of technology where the production water in aquaculture facilities is cleaned, oxygenated and reused, unlike traditional flow-through facilities where the production water is continuously replaced. The system filters out particles, removes CO2 and ammonia, and adds oxygen.
